Can you leave your lantana out all winter there? I have to dig mine up and bring it in for the inter here. I like the way it bloomes indoors too. How is it propagated?

I just let Lantanas I grow, die with the frost/freeze each year and get new ones in the Spring.

Thank you! I'm going to try to start some. They are one of my favorites and the one plant is just getting too big to dig up and bring in every year.

Are you growing this particular variety of Lantana (Firewagon)? I grew this one for the first time during the Summer of 2008 and it is my favorite of the ones I've grown and seen at garden centers. I'll be looking for it in 2009!

I have that one and one that is pale yellows. The one like yours , I have had for at least four years. I moved it in this fall and at Christmas I had hundreds of blooms. It's not blooming now. Do they go through a bit of a dormant period? It has dipped down to about 35 in the room it is in. The other one is in my studio where it is warmer, but it was getting leggy and I cut it back. I just noticed a few buds on it this morning. I think I will try to find more varieties of Lantana this spring.

I don't know anything about plants in the Winter. I just grow them outside and don't 'over Winter' anything.
