I keep meaning to pick me up sum zydeco tunes, but the closest I got was klezmer...

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Cool. I like spoons.

Clarkson, KY

Need us a jug band....Just got back, sorry. Got the Juleps recipe though.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

hmmm jug band. I have plentiful wine bottles (hic). Will that work Cousin Nut? I can't do Juleps though. They were a feature at one of my Stampede Partys while back. Let's just say I now know why the southern belles were swooning in the old movies.

Sapello, NM(Zone 5b)

Daaahling....
{{{swoon}}} clatter... thud
--note to self: put spoons down before dramatic collapse--

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Exactly Jay. They were dropping like fruit flys.

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

Dahlia Honey Y'all need to try that old White Lightning that there stuff is good, will clean your sinuses out, take varnish off you furniture or run in y'alls car instead of gas.

Sapello, NM(Zone 5b)

It really looses something in camo fatigues and tenny-runners, though...

Ooooh Deeeah... is it hot in heah?
{{{poompf}}}
---note to self: much better onto couch---

{giggle-snort}

Clarkson, KY

Jay-daahlin', Yoou'll fet raight een afteh rafew Juleps...

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Me and Jack are good buddies. I went to visit him in Lynchberg awhile back. I still get Birthday and Christmasy cards from Jack. How bout I do Jack while you'all do Juleps? That way I'm won't swoon and get my prettiful white overalls dirty.

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Peanuts in coke? What? Ewwww....

Clarkson, KY

{...don't ask me...}

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

You have not had a Southern favorite!!!!! You take a bottle of coke and put salted peanuts in it. Of cause you have to be a a little careful that you catch and chew up the peanuts.

How about RC cola and a moon pie? Don't tell me y'all have never tried that.

Land sakes what is the old world coming too!!!!

Clarkson, KY

Well. Not Moon Pies and Peanuts in Coke...

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

Man you ladies have missed out on the bestest thing next to a quilting bee or a corn shucking bee.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Of course dear wren sure. Perchance a few too many juleps for dear wren methinks

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

NO more likely to much White Lightning!

Of course there is also Hog Jaws, Head Cheese, chitlings , and a host of other southern delights.

Sapello, NM(Zone 5b)

salted peanuts in coke being compared to needle stuck fingers and blistered digits.
Thays fo'ks spinnin' in dey grayves...

Daaahlin'.... {{{thud}}} {{ow, missed the couch...}}
{{reclinin', on the floo-ah}} I could go for some Jack in Coke...
