There wasn't anything like this when I lived up there. But it was started later and has grown in popularity (and complexity). Check out some of these sculptures.

Wow!! Those are amazingly intricate for being carves out of ice. It looks like a fairy land.

Those ice sculptures are breathtaking. I went to one of these shows in McCall ID several years ago. Some were colored; i.e. a jukebox. One was a lifesize horse team. But it has to be reallllllly cold.
