Cool looking, Bonnie. Isn't it fun to grow species? I have 3 species streps right now waiting for them to bloom.
yes it is, they usually are very different, i have several different species of gessies.
I can't get my species streps to bloom. I have fornasus, nova and one more I can't think of.......but they won't bloom.

That must be a very rare sinningia, mrsbonnie. There is no info to be found on the internet about it that I could find. I wonder what the flowers will be like? A very unique and interesting species. Thanks for posting.
I couldn't find it either--can you fill us in mrsbonnie? Inquiring minds--etc....^_^
if you type in the name sinningia florianopole in your search engine, you will find a couple of pictures, the flower is orange, not all that different, but the foliage sure is.really a cutie.i forgot who i even got it from, ugh brain dead.they were nice enough to send it to me.this getting old is really for the birds.

I never planted them..........I have an entire box full of seeds I order and catching up is my 'next project'. Let me see if I still have them.
Be back in a minute

Opps.Sorry about that ^_^ I didn;t get any of those seeds.
I just sent you a dmail .........do you want some of this seed? I would be happy to send you the kind like Bonnie has but not the speciosas (because I want to grow them out).........say so as I am packing your box tonight and in the morning. It would be so easy to send you the seed. I am off of sinningias right now except for the speciosas.
How funny, that ficker site is Keyrings plants. What a great grower she is.
I like the big shiny leaves Gail. I like the little fuzzy ones too mrsbonnie.
Jan sent her to me when she was a little baby........let me find a picture for you to show you what she looks like in bloom.....sinningia guttata that is.
