After living for many years in the midwest I had it down pat as to when to start my garden.. but Im confused here..(a semi normal state for me).. I havent gotten the growing seasons here in TX figured out just yet. (its my second spring here) ..When can I start my lettuce seeds outdoors?

I don't know where Wells is, but you can call your county extension agent. There should be someone in the office to help you out.

NE Medina Co., TX(Zone 8a)

Some kinds of lettuce can be started in the fall here where I live. Then you can eat lettuce over the winter. But you can also start lettuce for the spring. Here's the website below for Agrilife and just plug in your county and call the number. Texas covers a lot of territory and info is different according to where you live.

What zone are you in? I have lettuce growing now but it is 38 degrees out side so that is too cold for me to go pick it.
Linda I think I'm following you!
