Parkersburg, WV

I am thinking of trying making a couple boxes for myself. I found totes at Walmart That are very long. I was wondering if I could use this size or would it be a bad thing. I am not too worried about having to move them once they are set up. but I thought it would be good to have 3 or 4 tomatoes in one container.
Any thoughts on the subject or experiences greatly appreciated.

what are the dimensions of the totes, how many gallons

The boxes are about 4 ft long and a good 2 ft wide.I am thinking that would place some sort of bolt in the sides to give added strength. Do not know how many gallons it would hold but ,I have aquariums and Iwould guess around 60 gallons.

taj12, that's a huge tote. i looked at another custom-made self-watering planter designed by a fellow Tomatovillian and here is the link:

it uses the 31-gallon rubbermaid roughneck. he has many photos, and a very nice man to boot. his design benefits a very good cause in haiti, i believe.

tomatoville is free as well.
