Strep Leaves curling under - is this normal?

Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

I am new to streps, and I've done lots of research to see if I can identify whether this is a normal growth behavior or an indication of some sort of problem, but I can't find anything on this. I have a couple of streps where the edge of the part of the leaf closest to the plant curls under. This curling only happens on one leaf, or at the most two leaves, per plant. All other growth appears normal. Any ideas, anyone? I'm growing under lights and the plants in question are wicked.

Thanks.

Thanks, Jim. I'd like to get into plant and leaf trading, but I don't want to spread anything harmful.

Sarah;
I believe that to be quite normal as many of mine do that,sometimes repotting seems to help some. i know i can't figure out why either.

thanks, Bonnie. I just wanted to check with you more experienced growers to make sure I didn't have some type of bug or virus or something. I'll try repotting.

Ok,thank you It sounds like most of you wick your streps,but I know a few of you do not.I am not very experienced with streps,and I very rarely wicked any gessies in the past,so I very much appreciate all of your input.Mats,although I basically understand how they work,are not something I know much about either.I always hand watered,usually from the bottom,and then dumped the excess,but that's a heck of a lot of work when you have a lot of plants and this old body might not be able to handle it anymore.....Smile.

Lynn,
I found wicking much easier the using matting... I had to try and fail to learn... I did not know to wet your wicks before using in the pots... So some plants wicked real easy yet others dried out... Most do well now that I wicked with wicks that I soaked before using... Jim, Bigoldbuck told me this.. Thank you Jim.... I still have a few I just water when needed...
Stick around long enough and you will be a pro... People here are always willing to share or trade... if you email me in spring I will/could send you cutting of streps..
Just my 2 cents worth...

Susan,you are such a sweetheart ^_^. It's been 20 years since I gave up my collection,so I'm a little scared right now about starting again. I used to be quite confident with seeds,AVs,Sinningias,Episcias,etc.,but my experience with Streps is marginal.I think?? they prefer to be grown a little dry compared to most Gessies.That's why the idea of wicking scares me.

Wicking really has helped me... I was also scared as I have only been growing a year now.. I like wicking now... I only came here to this forum to join Bingo...LOL Gail started emailing me about this and that and finally asked her what is a strep... She and others taught me allot... I love having blooms all winter... They seem to like being talked to at least from me... If not sure I don't look...LOL When I do then I water them and tell them to behave...LOL I use to hate AV's now look at me growing them...LOL So Lynn, If you see something I have just ask and I will send... Is my way...

I always loved talking to my plants,too....LOL..I think they actually listened ^_^.
