I hung a hummingbird feeder up without the cover with the fake flowers and the holes. It's basically a tray of sugar water. I put it up for the bees. A goldfinch just stopped there. I thought when she tasted it and realized that it wasn't regular water, she'd fly off, but she took about four sips of it before she left. Is that normal?
Question- is it normal for goldfinches to drink sugar water?
Apparently a lot of the birds enjoy the sugar water; there's been quite a few pics of all types of small and medium birds drinking it.
As long as I'm not the only one contributing to bill decay, I guess I won't worry! Thanks!
LOL!
