Butterfly weed ?

We have discovered a very curious weed that resembles a butterfly. Has anybody seen this before?

That looks very pretty. I think it might be a variety of Oxalis.

Yes I agree with you dutchlady1 it does look like a variety of oxalis to me also.

I think that you are on the money with Oxalis. We found another Oxalis a couple of months back, the Yellow Wood Sorrel, stricta.
We will let it grow and see what develops.
