I love the plant sales at SFA, the Spring Gala is set for April 18, 2009. Hope to see a lot of DGers there ;~)
SFA Mast Arboretum 2009 Events schedule
Ready to load up on coneflowers!
Maggi do they have a list of offered plants up yet?
No list yet, I have the page bookmarked to check for the list when it's up. I think I have a few 'plant buddies' lined up to go with me this year. I hope to borrow a couple of wagons to haul our 'loot' around in this time. The spring sale is so much fun - it's wild! The fall sale is much more sedate :~)
I always try to make it to this one. We, I, messed up this year and scheduled the MG plant sale on the same date. Those from this area and north should stop by our sale on the way to SFA. The spring sale is wild. Better grab fast and have a wagon as the popular things go fast. They have many unique plants that you can not find at nurseries.
I hate missing it as I spend my plant budget there each year.
Our sale will have some nice things too. We do only member grown plants. Stop by as it would be great to see you.

Maggie, the Autumn Treasure brug I got from you has a large seed pod. When ready I will grow the seeds out to see what it might get. The var. Maya cutting is going great and beautiful. Thanks again for these beauities.
Aha!
Send directions to the MG sale and we'll stop there too!
That's neat about Autumn Treasure setting a pod, I hope something good comes of it. I meant to give you a cutting of Axelrose too, the green-on-green variegate, remind me this spring :~)
Maggie- We have not officially reserved the location but am pretty sure we will have the same location. It will be easy to find as it is right on Hwy 69 next to Whataburger. Several other groups usually have their sale on the same day. Most others do the usual bedding plant things. Ours tend to be the more unusual things.
You know that I am a sucker for any var plant I see. I will remind you near RU time. I will share the seeds of the AT if you would like.
So look forward to seeing you and Ken. The fall visit was a treat for me and am still amazed at the things you have done and do. You guys are to talented.
I will keep you posted on our sale location and even list things that we will sale.
