Vixen was one of the few named rooted cuttings I was able to salvage late last winter when the table she was on was overturned. She didn't grow much this past summer. It was so hot and dry most of my Brugs didn't grow much. The bloom is pale compared to a summer bloom, but that's OK. I finally have a bloom from her! Her aurea ancestry shows. The bloom is horizontal right now. The calx is split into a number of lobes. Her grandmother on both sides, maternal and paternal, is Rothkirch. Too bad she didn't get those long Rothkirch tendrils. I can't wait until she blooms this summer.
Finally a bloom from Vixen
She's a beauty Betty.
Don't be sad about the way she blooms right now, you managed to save her and she will surely reward you with many just perfect Blooms come Springtime.
This brugmansia as she matures will knock your socks off with constant flushes.
As I like ones that bloom all the time, she gets an A from me.
Mine has lost most of her leaves in my winter low light and cold.
But I see her budding up again anyhow. ha
She doesn't need the long trendrils. She is beautiful enough just as she is.
You will like Vixen more and more as she matures :-)
aww she is beautiful.. can't wait to see her come spring!
A definite favorite of mine!
This was my very first flower on Vixen past summer. The coloring is outstanding in the summer as Veronica has stated.

Another pretty one. You have a sneak preview as to how beautiful she will be this spring and summer. Winter blossoms are a nice colorful relief to cold winter days.
I can't wait until my plant is big enough to have more than one bloom. :o)
