New chicken pics

Biggs, KY(Zone 6a)

Got a few new pics of my little flock today. Hope you enjoy them. These are my 2 roos and my oldest hen. She is the mom of the black roo and the white pullets. The black roo is named Trey and the red one is BJ.

Oh he is handsome!!! I like the cheeks! (the coloring is cool too)
Who is that sleek little lady in the back? Is that a duck butt? hehehe

Here is another picture of Trey. He is 3/4 bantam and 1/4 Blue Spanish Muff.

Yes. That is my one, lone duck. Her name is Miss Quackers. I was told she was a muskovey but I don't believe it. She looks like a rather new breed I can't recall the name of. They have spots like a Holstein cow. She has the spots and she doesn't have the red nodules around the eyes that the muskovies have.

She is cute. She gets along with everyone well?
What is that pretty white chicken?

Here is a better shot of BJ.

They are white bantams. The older hen is the mom of all the others except BJ. She has a bit if a lace apttern to her feathers.

Here is my little hen setting on her eggs. She is a young hen. Just been laying for about 3 weeks when she started setting. I got 5 big stock brown eggs from a friend to put under her. I'd like some layers for bigger eggs than the bantams lay.

Thanks. I only have a few but I sure do enjoy them. I hope to have a few more but I don't want to get too many until I have a better yard for them. A friend had given me another pair of bantams and before I could pick them up because of the weather, she called and said her DH had given them away to somebody else. GRRR

He gave them away cause he thought they'd end up in the stew pot with jellybean. LOL Couldn't help myself.

Haystack, you are gonna get yerself pelletized if you don't mind your manners. Jelly Bean's taking aim.

Nice chickens, Cajun. =0)

I'll be glad when the eggs hatch. They should be RIRs and Dominiques. Won't take them long to get bigger than their mom.
