Now that the migrating birds are starting to arrive my camera is going to be kept very busy and my bird book is useless. This is the first of the cute visitors.
CLOSED: A pretty migrant
I think it's a female Hooded Warbler, Wilsonia citrina. It will be fun seeing your pictures of our neotropical migrants this time of year!
Ditto to female Hooded Warbler. Checked Curson's New World Warblers, and there's no other similar species in the area.

The Hooded Warbler, Wilsonia citrina, is a New World warbler. It breeds in eastern North America and across the eastern USA and into southernmost Canada, (Ontario). It is migratory, wintering in Central America and the West Indies. Extract from Wiki.
Thanks guys that is the first one. I will keep an eye out and see if she brought a boyfriend with her.
Unlikely, they won't think about that until they arrive on the breeding grounds in 4 or 5 months
