CLOSED: Brown Jay scruffy adolescent?

San Andres, Peten, Guatemala

The top picture is certainly a Brown Jay Psilorhinus morio but is the bottom picture also a Brown Jay but an adolescent not long out of the nest?

We have a dedicated local bird watcher who entertains visiting bird watchers. After many years he has identified 214 species in the immediate local area around Lake Peten Itza in Northern Guatemala. .
The Great-Tailed Grackle is listed amongst his latest entries.
If a Grackle these must be females as the males are iridescent black.

The photo may be a Male Grackle, what do you think?

I have just looked out of the window and a male Grackle landed in the garden. He went exploring and then left so I didn't get much of a shot.
They at first look jet black and then as the light catches them they turn blue.

Yep, the first pic is a female; the second (in the first pic montage) is actually an immature male - see the glossy black feathers starting to replace the brown juvenile feathers. The two new pics are both adult males.
