CLOSED: Social Flycatcher

San Andres, Peten, Guatemala

This is the first of our pretty Spring birds. Although it is found in Central and South America we only see them spasmodically. It has a very loud voice and kicks up a fuss until I take it's picture. They usually look a lot sleeker than this but we are having rotten English type Summer weather at the moment. A chilly 70° F 20° C with grey skies and constant drizzle.

Yes Myiozetetes similis
If you look at the head the concealed orange vermillion stripe is just visible.
