Rosenwalzer just out of Quarantine is also fast becoming one of my very favorite Gottschalk Beauties, so perfect i appologize for the rusty background, i am watering with wellwater and it contains much Iron , but who cares the Blossom is gorgeous and that is what counts. LOL

Coushatta, LA

Love the color of it.

(Mary) Poway, CA(Zone 10a)

I see no rust. Just a gorgeous pink brugmansia.

Orangeburg, SC

Oh WOW I was just looking at that one on a site yesterday. That one was added to my want list... If you ever decide to sell a cutting please let me know. Brandy

Liz, no i do not have a Nursery in Dunedin, i am just passionate about my Brugs of German Origin from Monika, a piece of my old home for me.

Thank you all for your kind compliments.

Hey Liz
We could start a Pinellas Brug Lovers Club. LOL

I suppose loving the planet could be augmented with virulent Brug love, sure, absolutely!!!
Let's start a movement to make Brugs the national plant!
Hail to the sweet!

She is beautiful Christa! That was the one I wanted the most but Im down to 2 now. I wonder if my water has something to do with it?? Never thought about that. I think Dollie is on well water maybe that is why hers do so much better.... All the leaves on mine have always looked sick, all crinkled up with yellow lines on them.
I have no idea what that means but Ive been collecting rain water to water them with and they seem to be doing a bit better. Herbstgold is doing the best as far a growth and the Marback has a bud so maybe that was the problem??

Dunedin, FL

Thanks Caren, i am sorry you are haven such a bad time having only two left, don't worry i am sure Dollie and i can help you out later to replenish what you lost. I do water with my well water also, we left the well intact for the Garden when we had concected to City Water. Do you have your water running through the Watersoftener? The Salt in that would possibly be a killer, plants are not found of. I will call you.

South West, LA(Zone 9a)

We don't have a water softener for the outside taps. They run thru the community system. By far not the greatest water but to drink but I never gave the water minerals much thought... It doesn't seem to bother any of my other plants Brugs or otherwise. I thought maybe I was killing Monika's plants with too much care.
Take Care!!
Caren

how long from seed to blooms??????????????

Pinellas Park, FL(Zone 9b)

I use reclaimed water on mine and have no problem.

Mona in Metcalfe, ON(Zone 5a)

does anyone know how long from seedling to blooms

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

It can be anywhere from 5 months on to maybe even two years. I used to start seed in late October for planting out in May here in Iowa. I would usually have blooms by late August if the summer weather cooperated. I've planted in February and had blooms in July and August. It's a guess....

Mona in Metcalfe, ON(Zone 5a)

these are brugs not daturas

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

My information was for brugs, not datura. I've grown hundreds of them.

Mona in Metcalfe, ON(Zone 5a)

cool so then mine should bloom this summer they are huge about 5 feet tall and the main stem is over an inche and half across cant wait to see it since I can not remember what color I planted it was so long ago hahahah

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

You may need to fertilize them them better to bump them up to blooming :-)

Mona in Metcalfe, ON(Zone 5a)

what are you using and how often??????

I just use miracle grow every two weeks is that ok the leaves are huge and it looks very healthy

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

Ok, then stop fertilizing for about a month and then start again.
Into spring the brugmansias usually flush. You should get some blooms then.

Mona in Metcalfe, ON(Zone 5a)

thank you
