We are expecting freezing temps for the next few nights and nothing is hardened off. For insurance so I won't lose them all, I took a bunch of cordyline cuttings and I'm not sure if I will have time to stick them in a pot of soil (lots more plants to haul in or cover) They are sitting in a container of rain water now. Can I leave them there?
Thanks and stay warm.
Propagating Ti in water?
They'll be ok in water, but they do root much faster and better for me in a good potting medium when you get around to it
I'm thinking the ones you have inground will still come back fine next year ;)
Thanks, I finally finished hauling everything in and have more time now; I was so exhausted yesterday.
They will certainly come back but I hated to waste the tops that were looking so pretty. We are expecting temps in the 20's tonight. So many plants were already leafing out and blooming; it will be a mess tomorrow if things go as forecast.
Foliage, yes, it's been awhile...lol...even the camellias are shriveling here, it's already 21...it sure was a beautifully clear, sunny day today though!!
