Although I have never met him,I spoke at length to Dave yesterday.What an interesting man.I learned he was the hybridiizer of the Ozark series.We also talked about gessies in general.He wanted me to give a big hello to all of you he knows from here and from his shop.

Yes,he told me to give Jim that grows those other things that start with an S and has more than anybody a really bad time.And to give everybody h*** ,because I didn't know he had hybridized the Ozark plants.He mentioned several people that he knows from here.He loves to talk and is very amusing as well as informative about Gessies.After a show in I think Vegas,he is actually going to take a vacation and visit his sister.
He has been working on Sinningias since before Thanksgiving (and still is) and now he's starting on Episcias.

He also mentioned you Bonnie and also Gail.My problem was I only know most of you by your DG names and he knows everybodys real names.He said you are all a great bunch (and he's right ^_^).
Now you know Ill have to make there someday!! tommie, you will have to let me know your next trip. My sister has a place about an hour from Lake Ozark that we will be going to later on in the year, after March for weekends, I'm sure I could swing by that way!!!
going to be heading up that way hopefully this coming Sat or sometime next week-- weather permitting---if not then it will be 1st week in Feb. DH is coming home the 22nd for 6 days so if I don't get there before it will be after he goes back out. lmk what is better for you weekdays or weekends--or just when you plan on going thru there. Anything works for me. I do need to go up there during the week to go to Hummerts (greenhouse supply) to pick up the ginormis bags of perlite & vermiculite--they are not open on the weekends. I saw that Dave mentioned on another group there are now 2 GH suppliers up there--would be nice if the other is open on the weekend...
Dave is a wonderful man, really loves to talk & is very informative.He is also real funny.has beautiful sinningia's.his ozark series are to dye foe, i have several.
