bought this little guy as a cutting for $2.00.
I saw the mother plant, she twines and has creamy flowers similar to Hoya carnosa......
I believe the corolla was light creamy pink OR light creamy white (I forgot) with dark pink/red center. Used to have gorgeous dark leaves but lost its colour. during the summer, I saw new growth of leaves but quickly died a couple days after. Another set came in and died also and it's been more than 4 months now and I have not seen new growths.
The first set of new leaves, this hoya was located by my window sill, it was hot and sunny. Then when I saw the new sets of leaves dying I relocated it to a shadier spot, and not as warm. Then the second set of new leaves died again.
it's not located by my morning glory vines, outside the aquarium/terrarium with lights for a couple of weeks now. I still see no new growths. The lady whom I bought it from said it was easy to grow, but I'm really having trouble with this one... (well it's usually like that in my room - the ones that are easiest to grow die on me [like my congo cockatoo], while the ones that a couple of people say are hard to grow I can grow in my room [coffea arabica, some alocasias])

What kind of hoya am I?
H. carnosa really likes it darker, drier than most others.
Yup, mine sulks if I water it more than maybe once or twice a month. It's one of those plants that thrive on neglect!
I got a Carnosa in my very first trade here on DG two years ago. At first I had it in way too much sun and the color faded and it looked awful. Then, I learned from you kind folks here on this forum that the carnosa clan does not like sun, so I moved it to a shadier spot and it has really done well. No blooms yet but I'm hoping to see some this next summer!
Had to bring them all inside this afternoon ... it's supposed to get down to 37F here tonight and 30 tomorrow night! Brrrr ... too cold! I'm not taking any chances either ... we are supposed to have cold temp's the next seven or eight days so a lot of my plants are staying inside, everything else on my deck got covered with old blankets!
Thanks Susan. I'm a horrible photographer and sometimes my plants actually look better in the bad photo's than they do in person, LOL. That carnosa has a chewed leaf from one of the cats who seems to think my plants are her own private salad bar!
