Hi welcome, and herbie--frank is a real jewel so kind to us all.
Thanks everyone, ya'll are too kind. ♡
I do LOVE this place already. I have learned soooo much & I'm just starting! lol
Welcome Kristy ! We are neighbors. I live in the Bolton High School area. You will need to try to attend some of our Mid-South plant swaps, nursery crawls, etc that we have every year. We will all load you up on the things you like. I noticed Kenny already set you in the right direction for your hostas. Hope you have lots of shade. If so, I may have some things to share with you also.

Oh how neat! You are super close to me!
I'm at Hwy 70 & Memphis Arlington area, behind the fire department.
I am becoming a huge hosta fan! So many people here have been beyond helpful!
We did a complete makeover for the front of our house last year & I bought alot of hostas then and have fell in love with them. lol
As far as shade goes, that's pretty much all I have. I am planning on a complete makeover for the backyard as of right now. I'm planning on mostly hostas of course. :D
There are alot of great companion plants for hostas that look really nice too if you have lots of shade. You are very close to me geographically. I think the local Hosta society has a sale every spring at someone's home. You will need to watch the papers for those sales. Not sure if prices are the best, and alot of the nurseries donate to it, so you can get a pretty good variety there also.
If I do a nursery crawl this spring, you will need to make sure you join so you can come to my house and see all my hostas. I don't have alot that are really prospering, but I think I may have around 100 varieties. Some are around 8 years old - which only means they are mature.
100 varieties? wow. Definitely, let me know if you do one. I'll come for sure. I'd love to see your stuff!
n2birds 100 varieties it must be wonderful when the blossom. What companion plants do you use?
