dog sweater pattern

I am looking for a simple pattern to make a little sweater type thing for my toy poodle. I would like to cut it out of that furry looking stuff they make 'tie end' lap blankets with. Fleece? I think some call it.
I just cannot find anything at the store that fits him. Either too long or short or too small in the neck, or good grief how many dogs grow legs out of their neck anyway?

Anyone have something like that they would be willing to share?
I can get measurements if so.
