Tips on packing lunches?

I have to pack a lunch for my dh everyday and I get stumped sometimes what to pack.
Sandwiches get old. He is a picky eater and allergic to some things also.
I have a hard time finding containers small enough to use. He has access to a microwave, but meats do not reheat well in that.
So what kind of things do you all do for lunches. ?
