vitamins for pets

I am looking for a liquid or paste vitamin for my toy poodle.
Does anyone have a favorite? Any tips on buying these? Can I get the OTC or do I have to go to the vet for them?
He eats kinda picky (his teeth are bad for one thing) and he is getting older as well.
I'm afraid he wouldn't take a pill and I dont want to 'force' one as he could choke!
