This probably would not be too big a deal if I lived where temps are warm.
But here in sw Pennsylvania a flush to enjoy in January is a big deal for me.
Blooms are a little more extended and not as lush right now .. but NO complaints!
Alice
Bad Angel
It would be a big deal to me too Alice, even here in Texas. I know you are enjoying them.
Aaaahhhhh! You lucky duck! ♥
Wow Alice, I'd consider that lush any time! To get this kind of growth, at what temperature do you keep your greenhouse and what is your fertilizer schedule?
Alice's BAD ANGEL is absolutely one of the best bloomers, rain or shine hot or cold, for me down in Florida Zone 9a there is not any month she misses to bloomm by the time her last blossom wilts she has set new green Buds coming in so for me she is a constant Bloomer, i would think she would be a great one to enjoy year round for areas with warmer climates as Texas, California etc .the only time she takes time to set new buds is when i have to cut her severely back because her branches get to long and droop from the heavy weight of all the Blossoms. I am fortunate to call Bad Angel my own, thank you Alice.
Looks beautiful to me. Must smell great in there!
Christa,
Your colour looks better than mine right now. We have had lots of days with no sun.
She would look better colour in good light. Right now, I am happy for the flush in winter :-))
'Bad Angel does bloom all the time. And, yes, excellent fragrance.
The gloomy days have not cheated me from that .. lol
A little background on 'Bad Angel' ..
She is one of my seedlings grown from Monika's seeds and named by Christa.
Group effort on this one .. lol And a great brug to grow :-)))
Thanks :-)
Alice

elva
Thanks, Elva :-)
I hope you are feeling well again.
Alice
Alice, You are so lucky. I can close my eyes & almost smell...nope I can't smell it. LOL All mine are brown & dormant except for Snowbank & it's dropped most of the leaves. I am looking forward to blooms next summer but not to digging 200+ holes. Do you do the pot-in-pot method? In the ground or pots?
Linda
Yes Alice, I am doing so much better.. havent been in the hospital in months now. :0)
It's so sweet of you to ask.
Hugs
Elva
A flush at any time of the year is a big deal, but especially when the light is reduced and we're not really expecting it. Still can't think of anything BAD about that ANGEL!
Gorgeous!!
I can't believe 'Bad Angel' flushed like this in January.
Her blooms are not their best colour and form like they are in better light, but there have been close to 200 of them, so NO complaints! .. lol
The glasshouse is loaded with fragrance.
Linda,
I grow them in big pots. And in summer. I grow second plants of special ones in ground.
I have excellent soil and they always get huge in ground here. And I am always racing cold to get them in before frost. But I always try to get some planted out.
Glad you are doing well, Elva. Stay healthy :-)
I can think of something bad about this angel...that she isn't mine lol :P
Hi Alice and Mary!! I just have to put my two cents worth in here. This past summer Bad Angel was the heart of my yard. Always in bloom with almost no care what so ever. It was a joy to come home to!! Outstanding job!! One of the best!
LOL! No wonder she's called "Bad Angel" ... she must have a lot of cold blood in her! ;-)
Gorgeous blooms!
Cindy, I missed your post when I was here yesterday.
Good to see you here :-) We will have to catch up soon.
I have been too worn out from dealing with these super cold temps.
Finally now I sat to read all the replies.
'Bad Angel' is a very durable and very lovely brugmansia.
She grows in many climates now and has performed well in all.
