The problems with green houses

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

Darn I just found out the problem of having a green house covered with loose plastic. Who turned the fans on!!!! 5 pots where knocked off the shelves. My poor American Beauty get broke AGAIN! I swear that poor plant is jinked. It had put on a lot of grown since it's last fall but this time it get really broken into pieces. I guess not flowers or fruit on that one for a couple of years. But it can be saved. Next week when I get paid we will be adding pipes to hold the plastic down.

Our winds were terrible here too the last few days. That sucks about your plants getting broken. I guess you are learning as you go and we are learning from you :)

Yes I am learning. Next week I will be getting some more 1 inch pvc pipes and clamps. The problem right now is that the bottom of the plastic is free and it flaps.

Come summer I am going to get some more shade cloth and it will be clamped down all the way around. The in winter the plastic will be clamped on. I may have my brother put the fiberglass panels on a couple of sides. It will be to hot here to use it on all four sides.

A couple of more plants where knocked off but not damaged, they gave , the dragon fruit plants are stiff so it broke.

I am also going to start repotting my plants into azalea pots, as they are more stable.
