WANTED ..DUTCH BANTAM EGGS

Harpswell, ME

THIS WAS OUR ''SPOILED ROTTEN'' DUTCH BANTAM MIX ROOSTER. OUR MACAW HATCHED HIM OUT....THINKING IT WAS A HEN....HE WAS CALLED ''MARTHA''. HE HAD THE RUN OF THE HOUSE, SLEPT IN BED UNDER THE COVERS, RODE IN THE TRUCK AND CONVERTABLE. HE WENT EVERYWHERE IN MY JACKET. WORE A DIAPER. JUST THE BEST PET EVER AND SO SMART.
LOOKING FOR 3 EGGS TO PUT UNDER THE MACAW AGAIN. LOOKING FOR WHEATON OR LIGHT BROWN DUTCH BANTAM. CAN ANYONE GIVE ME ANY LEADS? THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

You might try Egg Bid or Ebay for eggs

I had an excellent hatch of Dutch Bantam from tbooher1 on eBay. They are Johnsonville Farms.

cajunboy on eBay is also very nice to deal with and has some unusual colors--but I've had less luck hatching his.

THANK YOU EVERYONE.... I AM LIKE A SMALL KID WAITING FOR SANTA!!

I BOUGHT A DOZEN EGGS FROM THERESA BOOHER...JOHNSONVILLE FARMS. WHEN I GOT THEM THE MAIL LADY HANDED THEM TO ME..... AND IT WAS ABOUT 15 DEGREES WITH SOME UNREAL WINDCHILL. I RUSHED THEM INTO THE HOUSE AND STARTED UNPACKING. MAN CAN SHE PACK WELL! THE FINAL COUNT WAS 25 EGGS!!!!! I LET THEM REST AS SHE INSTRUCTED. I HAD THE INCUBATOR ALL READY FOR MY BABIES AND THE MACAW WAS SITTING ON 3 OF HER INFERTILE EGGS. SO ALL 25 EGGIES WENT INTO THE BATOR..... GOT THEM ALL WARMED UP AND THEN DID THE BIG SWITCH-A-ROO FOR THE MACAW....AND GAVE HER 3 NEW BABIES. [LOL].....
THREE DAYS INTO THE INCUBATION..... I WAKE UP TO NO POWER!!!!! WE HAD A REAL BAD STORM AND PREDICTIONS OF DAYS WITHOUT POWER. BATOR WAS AT 73 DEGREES! CRAP..... HOOK UP GENERATOR AND GOT THE EGGS TO 99.5 AGAIN. AT 6 DAYS I CANDLED THEM. OF THE 5 I CHECK....4 LOOKED GOOD...[COULD SEE THE LITTLE VEINS]
BIG HATCH DATE IS FRIDAY THE 13TH.....4 MORE DAYS!!!!

Teresa's eggs are very healthy.. I'm glad they survived for you!

I thought I had a disaster too.. but I left them in the bator and now I can see em jumpin around..

3 cheers for Dutch Bantams!

3 MORE LONG DAYS! THIS IS THAT CRAZY MACAW AND HER BABIES....3 OF THE DUTCH BANTY EGGS FROM THERESA. SAKI LETS ME TOUCH HER BABIES AND I HAND FEED HER. SHE HAS BEEN MY SOUL MATE FOR 22 YEARS. SHE WILL NOT ALLOW ANY MALE NEAR HER. SHE FLIES LOOSE OUTDOORS IN THE SUMMER. BEST ''WATCHDOG/BIRD'' ANYONE COULD WANT. LOL
I WILL TRY TO GET PHOTOS OF HER WHEN THE EGGS HATCH. 3 YEARS AGO SHE HATCHED THE ABOVE ROO FOR ME. SHE HELPED HIM OUT BY GENTLY BREAKING AND CLEARING THE SHELL OFF. IT WAS AMAZING TO WATCH

I've heard that members of the Psittacinae will help their chicks hatch--but it is just amazing to see your Macaw Saki with those eggs.
