Delice Amore
Some early January blooms
you may make me fall in love w/ tropical hibbies all over again. those are gorgeous!!!!!
Im already head over heels...I think I need all of those!
Beautiful pics, Ardesia!! I'm absolutely in love with Blueberry Thrill :-)
Thanks, this is such a strange year, weathwise, I had a couple in the house during November because we had an early cool spell then moved most of them out again before the holidays because it has been is so warm. January nights in the 60's are unusual, even for here. I really need to cut them back and repot but I'll be good and wait a while.
Not such a cold winter for us, thank goodness! Alice, lovely, of course :)
Thanks Cat, wouldn't you know - everything is outside and we are expecting 2 cold nights later this week. These major ups and downs are hard on the plants. The trops I have in the ground went dormant during the early cold spell and have now leafed out. Surely they will lose their leaves again this week, wonder how many times per year a hib can leaf out?????
ardesia, just one word can describe them, ( beautiful ). you know it true, weather has been quite different this past year, we've had day were temp. went down to high 40's and mid 50's in some area and we're further south in the caribbean and more rain than usual.

Great photos ardesia. You really captured the colors/lighting perfectly with your camera.
Thanks :-)
Hi Ardesia,
Long time huh! Beautiful as usual. I ended up having to leave all my hibbies out of the GH's since they were blown away and only put the newbies for the nursery in. Most of them are dormant but still alive. Hopefully it will stay that way. I'll cut them back in a couple of weeks, start fertilizing heavy and see what happens.

Robert, good to hear you are OK. It is so sad about your plants but I know you will have some beauties growing soon.
We have had unusually cold weather (30!) alternating with unusually hot weather. I had to move my hibs into the house to try and control the temps a bit. They don't like it indoors and dropped a lot of leaves. I too will begin cutting back, on a much smaller scale, in a couple of weeks.
alice
Ardesia, we've had that same difficult weather. My poor plants with nights in the 30's, then days in the 80's the next week. I know I've lost some :-( By next winter, I won't have to move (again) and will definitely be putting up protection on my patio.
