My oldest daughter that is in her last semester of College and will start her internship next August gave me the news last night. WE ARE GONNA HAVE A BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bad news, she will not be at home like she wanted when she has the baby. Dont know for sure how far along they are but she suspects 6-7 weeks, and that should put it end of August or 1st week of September. I told her she WILL NOT have a Texas baby, she WILL cross that red river and have that baby. ^_^. I told her she had better have a 2 bed room apartment where ever they are. I will be there 2 weeks before and 2-4 weeks after. Oh sewin might be in your neck of the woods then also, she has applied to somewhere there in NY. I will find out exactly where she has applied.
I know of College Station in Texas, Ball State in Indiana, Somewhere is Kansas and another in Missouri. One more and I forget where it was.

We talked a little bit about her internship and I am kinda worried about that. I know that she will be stressed about that and hope she will do ok. Hope she does not have to put it off. There are things that can happen and the schools will work around it. Her 1st thing is to find out next month where she will go and then she can start talking to the advisers at the school. I am hoping she is at College Station in Texas she will only be 2 hrs from home and we will get to see them more often. If she is elsewhere I know I will be adding up my frequent flyer miles for sure. Just thought of something, that blew my plans out of the water for a trip to Europe this summer. Oh well Europe will still be there next year.

That is true. I dont think there are any plans to move Europe or to close its boarders. LOL
She will work it all out with her school. If she has to put internship off until after the baby, it would not be the end of the world. It would be dissapointing for her but it would be okay.
Thats plenty of time to make layette sets and blankets for the baby! weeeee!

I see nothing wrong with a TX baby. I have two of them. That just means that she will be HUGE during the hottest part of the year. I did it so anybody can. What is her internship in? If you don't mind me asking. Congrats.

Yes she will be huge in the hottest time of the year. She will have her PHD in Psychology after she is done with her internship. She will then be Dr Lancaster. ^_^
She has been in College since the August after high school in 2001.
Double congrates! Dr. and mom the education will always be there just like Europe. I was HUGE in TX in Sept. 9 months after the 1997 ice storm. My thighs rubbed together so bad I thought they would start a fire. How long is her internship?
Oh goodness lisac that is too funny. 1 year internship. And I am 90 % certain that they will come back to Oklahoma to live and work. I sure hope so.
It is a running Joke in my family NO texas babies!!!!!!!!!!!!! I actually hope she gets College Station as it is only 2 hrs from here. Not to much trouble for us to travel back and forth.
My dad felt the same way about TX he was stationed in Ft. Hood during WWII and always said he would rather go to H*** then go to TX. Well, he just left last Friday so now the joke is on him. He has 2 TX natives for grandsons but he likes TX better now that there is more then one tree on the base at Ft. Hood.
Tia... ask her to check around the VA hospital in Indianapolis too....Internships going there like mad...

I am sure the ones she has picked, she did pick more but didnt get an interview from some, they all will offer her the internship and then she has to decide which one she will choose.

Ok College Station is at least 6 hrs from me, Denton texas is the one close to me. In Missouri it is in Columbia, Kansas is..... guess which 2 yep, Kansas and Kansas State. New York is in buffalo and then the one in Indiana, Ball State.
They have her due 20th of August. Her Internship starts the 1st Monday of August.
I am a bit upset, this is MY grandbaby and my MOTHER and HUBBy might get all the glory. If I think about it it would be poetic justice. My mother and hubby's b-day is August 19th, Mom gets my thunder, My b day is may 9th and this daughters b day is may 2nd (she was due may 13th.)
