This is a really pretty orange/apricot double from Eddie Dewayne. I received a small plant last spring and it shot up so fast during the summer I was shocked when I returned home. It obviously loves the heat because it's greatest growth spurt was during the hot summer days. This is it's first flush and it has produced a healthy number of apricot stuffed doubles. This is a really nice brug. The flowers haven't finished coloring up but I wanted to get a picture before the winds and rain get to them.

I didn't post a picture of the inside because i was too anxious to get int the blooms to get pollen and pollinate them but the inside of the bloom is beautiful. The inside skirt gets darker before the outside corolla does so the insides were a deep colored apricot. I grow a lot of brugs and this one has my attention. I will keep a close eye on it. She has already put up a ground shoot that is almost the size of the main trunk. If she continues to send out blooms like these she will move to the top of my list of favorite doubles.

I thought this sounded familiar and after much name tag searching I found it. I will look forward to this one blooming.

I do not know how you have the room for all the brugs you grow, Gary. I thought you told me once you have a small yard.

When growing up, my family used to vacation in Fort Lauderdale. I remember my Dad would take us to an ice cream place called Wolf's for huge sundaes. I recall it was well known. I wonder if it is still there. It might have been called Fox's. LOL

Kell all I know is if you go down to the beach you can see the wolves checking out the foxes....but there's no ice cream involved I'm sure!!

P.S. i do have a small yard....... lol!!

I visited a fellow DG'r who has a small yard in the city here.. it looked like a tropical garden and his brugs were awsome! Tropicman does wonders with a small space.. can't wait to fill my 24 by 24 cement patio again with flowers all around me..
