She has outdone herself this year. This is already her second major flush since oct. I grow this one in the ground and as long as i keep her well watered during the dry season she is perfectly happy. Miss Emily has a reputation for bring difficult to get a seed pod on but i managed to get her crossed to Rothkirch and now I'm patiently watching my little pod grow bigger and bigger....
Miss Emily Mckenzie
I wish I could have blooms all year, they are so nice.
Doris
I just got 2 cuttings of her from Ebay. They were tiny so I probably wont see a flush like that for another year. It is so Pretty..
Mine got frosted the 2nd day they bloomed. Guess it'll be spring before I see them again. Keep those pretty pictures flowing!
I love seeing photos of your Brugs! Yes, please keep them coming.
Very pretty photos of MEM! I only have a few pods on mine as well. So far the MEM x NN and MEM x Rosalla are pretty decent sized pods. I have two smaller pods with MEM x MADM that look like they may stay on as well. I have found MEM more difficult to pollinate than my other brugs.
So far this year I am estimating I will have @ 19,000 seeds from the all the brug pods that are almost matured. They are still accepting pollen though so who knows by spring....
What a treat to see MEM has such a profusion of blooms! One of my fav.!
I am looking at a MEM cutting on ebay and am nervous about getting it with all of the bad things that have happened to folks buying brugs on ebay. I am still on the fence on this one.
Kathy you have a great network of people here who have experience with purchasing brugs on ebay. What you should do is ask around and find out who has had experience with the seller that you might make your purchase from. Find out if they received what they purchased and are they happy with it. That is the only way that you can be secure in purchasing from ebay. Ask around. Someone will be able to help you with a referral I'm sure. Sellers who have built up a good reputation deserve to be referred as these are the guys we want supplying us with good, healthy stock. Let's keep the good guys in business and weed out the rest!!

Thank you for good advice. I will look up his name and ask around. He has good feedback on ebay but that does not mean I will get what is represented. For most folks, me included, we won't recognize more than "yes it is pink" lol after it blooms.
I've a cutting of MEM as a gift from fellow DGer friend. I can tell you that, MEM is exceptionally beautiful. There is something about MEM that sets her apart from other ordinary pink brug. I love it.
Kathy, There are two vendors selling MEM cuttings right now. I have ordered cuttings from both. Both tend to send out cuttings on the smaller range of the stated size. Right now the soft or green cuttings probably won't root if the mother plant is dormant or semi-dormant. Waiting until spring will improve rooting chances. Have you checked with the Brug sellers on the MarketPlace to see if they will be offering either cuttings or plants in the spring. I don't usually order plants or cuttings in winter because frost damage can claim them in transit.
I will order from the market place. I keep forgetting that is there. Thanks
I have a MEM cutting I got in Oct from a DG co-op. She is putting out new tiny leaves but doesn't seem to want to do much. I'm sure it's the season. I do keep it under florescent light 12 hrs a day. I do hope she grows up to be as pretty as these here. It is a beautiful color.
go ahead. I see how ya are. Make me drool.
Txgrower, I learn that brugs do better in my zone if planted directly into the garden unless we can provide a very large pot for them. I kept my MEM indoor this first year. Next year I'll plant her directly outdoor and take cuttings for increase for future sharing. This is a must have cultivar, I just love her. I too keep most of my cutting under florescent light 12 on/off with 24/7 fan running, and misting to aid moisture content indoor overwinter. ^_^
I'm hoping she will be big enough to plant this spring or early summer in the ground. I plan to put all my brugs in the ground. I'm trying to get away from too many container plants.
I might need to mention I'm a newbie to brugs but learning from nice folks like you and other brug lovers here. You probably could tell I was new. I am learning they are a lot hardier than given credit for.
