Very nice. This variety deserves to be in more gardens. It has put on the largest number of blooms, for me,of any brug.I see that yours is loaded too.

Orangeburg, SC

It is loaded and I love the color.

Hi All, I'm a lurker here, but just wanted to say that your brug is beautiful.Love the color! I was sent a brug (un-known color) as a bonus plant , with a swap I did last fall. She said if I love tropicals, that I had to try a brug.I am trying to keep mine growing thru the winter in the house, and it is looking good....just keeps getting taller and taller. Can't wait to see it bloom.

here's a close up of the Taylor Dawn x Serendipity cross.. seen here with rose.. New Dawn.. and about the same coloration... you start to see the opalescent.. light Lilac look she has..

I believe this is my cross. That lilac coloration is exhibited in both of the parents. The idea was to try to deepen the liac coloring in the seedlings. You may want to try to cross this back again Gordon to one of the parents in an attempt to get the coveted lilac brugmansia that so many dream of....
If this particular seedling isn't my cross I do have some of these babies floating around somewhere because this was a cross I made in 2007 I believe.

HA HA HA HA >>Yes Gary.. it's your cross.. I written with you before.. and asked if you'd seen asimilar picture of it I'd posted.. and then posted it again as you said you missed the first time.. this third time it was posted... just to include it in your posting of TD.. for others that might find interest.. and might have also missed it on the first two postings of it.. she's a beauty..surely..
Thanks for the breeding thought..I had Serendipity about here somewhere.. in the foggy past..
I'll write to you directly...about seeds from some of your 08 endeavors..
keep up the great work there... Gordon

So many seed crosses....so little time......I forget stuff rather quickly nowadays Gordon but I do remember that there was a posting before about this cross. I like it. You did a good job with her. It's funny but with all the endearing qualities that Taylor Dawn has. I believe that was the only cross I ever attempted with her. I will have to try to looking into crossing her with some petite doubles and see how she does. I never even looked into her heritage until just now. She has some interesting genes in her background. She is Rosa Kornett x B. Versicolor produced by Herrenhauser Gardens in Germany. She is listed as pure Candida. I think I will hit her with some pollen just as soon as she flushes again. I think I may have mistakenly overlooked this cultivar as prime hybridizing material, especially when breeding for perfectly shaped petite blooms which many people seem to prefer.

Coushatta, LA

I love that pink color. She just pops out their and said BAM.
