OK... now that i've got this Ham Bone ....

.... I always hear of how folks make soup with the bone.

the problem is... what do you use to 'cook' it in??
it wont fit in my crock pot, and if i put it in a stock pot... i'll have to use about 3 gals of water to cover it, because it will be perpendicular in the pot [if it will even fit in that pot ... which to me, seems silly... as then i'd have a ton of soup.

I did not actually measure the bone... but its well over 12" long... maybe 15" ...

I'd love to use it to make Black Bean Soup. [then i can add a dollop of sour cream on top] YUM.
