CLOSED: Gadwall female?

I saw this duck at a local pond recently, I identified the male gadwall and I was wondering whether this is the female. It looks different to the usual mallard females there.

Sorry, no, just a Mallard, with a bit of farmyard duck in its ancestry

Gadwall is slimmer and more 'graceful', and has a distinctive bill pattern, with a neat dark central stripe and orange sides.
