Donna look again at the male and female in in January in your link - the top of the male's head is all white with white shoulders, and the female's head has some black on top and black shoulders, like Grandmaggie's bird

lol I stand corrected. I also see the dark line down the front of the pic as is in GrandMaggies that doean't show up on the male
I was under the impression that it was going to molt again into winter plumage. Reading says they molt 3 x's a year. Also see now that Maggies has the short tail

I swear it looks like a male in breeding plumage to me more than a winter female but I know I am wrong now

If they were my pictures, I'd add one or both of them. There aren't any now! If you can get better pictures in the future, the admins will probably be able to substitute them for you.
