I was going to make a new recipe, butternut saffron soup..... feeling adventurous as they say....
So I'm at the grocery store, and I see a sign for butternut squash. I pick out one nice looking, medium sized compared to the rest. The recipe called for a few cups of it, so i figure this one will do.
So I'm at the register, and the girl asks me what it is? I respond that I sure hope it's butternut squash because that's what the sign said. She rang it up and I drive home thinking little on the Christmas menu.
So, for some reason, I just decided to google images of butternut squash....
Now I've grown zukes and crooknecks - had volunteers of a cross between the two - but squash-wise? THat's all I know. Somehow I can recognize Acorn squash < G > !
SO. Does anyone know what I'm supposed to do with Spagetti Squash? I'm pretty sure that's what this is?
