Waterville, VT(Zone 4b)

No time for a Christmas tree this year so I decorated my Hoya cumingiana for the season.

It was pretty easy to decorate, and I only lost one leaf!

Plenty of snow here. We received over a foot of the white stuff in the last couple of days. Tonight we will have wind chills of 20 below zero.

Happy Holidays to everyone.

Very creative, and very lovely Doug. And snow is ruling our lives already this year as well. But it sure can't spoil the cheer of the season. A very happy holidays to everyone!!

Beautiful!!! Once again showing how versatile hoyas are, and how creative hoya lovers are :).....It's 7 degrees here in Pittsburgh, with wind-chills well below zero, so it's especially nice to have green and blooming plants inside....Happy Solstice to all!!! Warmer days are coming....

Doug,

What a wonderful Christmas Hoya! Love it! I haven't put up a tree in quite a few years. We always go to visit my sister and family in Fort Lauderdale and it seems like I don't find the time to do much decorating here at home anymore. This is the first year we haven't put the outside lights up. I've collected snowmen/snow people for years and usually have some of them out but haven't even done that this year.

I do have a few Holiday Cactus in bloom and they are colorful ... a couple of orchids in bloom too but nothing much Christmasy looking in my house. I keep saying "Maybe next year." We will be gone for a few days anyway and do enjoy other family and friend's decorations! And, as one of my friends said .... just think, no worries about having to clean it all up and pack it all away after the holidays! Which is so true ... I always love the decorating but hate the packing and putting away when it's over!

I hope everyone up north is staying warm and cozy! Brrr ... it sure is cold in some areas! We've been having wonderful Florida weather. Yesterday was 80 but today was only in the 60's. It's going down to about 47 tonight but back to mid 70's tomorrow and Christmas day is going to be 80 so we certainly can't complain about our weather!

Again, Love your H. cummingiana all decorated for the holidays! Looks very pretty! I used to put a tree (Norfolk Island Pine or Ficus Benjamina) on my front porch and decorate it with the little white lights and small ornaments and always had an ugly little tree I called my "Charlie Brown" Christmas tree that I would decorate with odds and ends ... old cookie cutters, red bows, small pine cones, garland etc. but haven't done that in a long time either. I used to always decorate a tree in the yard for the birds too. I would string popcorn, raisins, bits of fruit and hang it on a shrub or tree and coat pine cones with peanut butter and bird seed and hang them too. Just seems the older I get, the lazier I get, LOL.

I know Spring is just around the corner but I will wish for you all a Warm, Cozy Christmas with those you love!

I hope everyone has a Wonderful Holiday and Many Blessings in the coming year!
