Does Anyone Need Aspidistra?

Bellaire, TX

I had to do some re-planting Friday and have two large trash bags full of really nice Aspidistra. I would be happy to give it away to anyone in the Houston area (I live in Bellaire). If you're unfamiliar with this plant, it needs light to full shade, is drought-tolerant and evergreen. No visible flowers.

I might add that it is great for filling in bare foundation areas or blank places in your landscape especially where you find it is difficult to get things to grow. It is evergreen and multiplies pretty rapidly.

and if LeslieT runs out, I'll be glad to share... lol

Don't know the cultivars but I have two types. One short and one tall. The tall are the ones I need to relocate.

Seriously, good luck giving it away, LeslieT! Digging it is the hard part! You might try a mention on Craigslist or Freecycle or whatever Houston has to offer.
