I planted these by the moon

I planted lettuce, pac choi and beans on the Thurs before full moon (according to my calendar, a good day to plant above ground crops). They came up in 3-5 days! I planted onions, radishes, turnips and kohlrabi on the 14th (a good day for root crops) and they came up in 3 days! That's the best germination I've had this fall.
BTW, for the ones who asked in the other thread, my neighbor waters her garden in the "water" signs, especially on new moon and right before full moon.

I have always been a believer in planting by the signs. However, there may be times when is literally impossible to plant on the best day of the month due to impossible weather or for whatever reason. Given that situation, one cannot always wait an entire month to get their veggies in the ground, so you just have to deal with thinking your garden will go bust because you didn't get it planted under the right signs. (LOL)

Good luck with your veggies. Looks like you did good.

Too true! And if I see a weed when it's time to plant, I'm probably not going to let it sit there until Jupiter is in retrograde...

I too pull weeds when I see them. The other day we dug out a bunch of wild lettuce that had taken over a portion of the lawn. According to the calendar it was a perfect day to destroy weeds. We'll see if it made a difference.
