Hi everyone,
I am sponsoring the January bingo in a sister Yahoo group dedicated to Gesneriads, called, Fun With Gessies. I think it will be a fun game. Here is the premise as outlined on the Fun with Gessies page:
Being the sponsor and caller for the January 2009 Bingo, I decided to do the game a bit differently for this month. I have uploaded the file of 25 different gesneriad species to the Bingo files of the group.
Rules will be the same: pick 10 of the 25 and send your picks to the Bingo Fairy. [This differs from Violet Reflections bingo which has 15 out of 35.]
Calling is what is going to be different, and hopefully VERY educational for all of you. Instead of calling the name on your card, I will be posting its picture. How fun is that!??? I think it will be a LOT of fun, and hopefully you'll learn something, too! I know that we all need help in recognizing some of our plant friends, and I hope this will help. I will also try to give some clues and hints with each pick.
First place winner: One year's worth of renewal or a new membership to the Gesneriad Society.
Second place winner: A donation to the Gesneriad Society fund of your choice in your honor.
Tail-end Charlie: A copy of the recently revised edition of "How to Know and Grow Gesneriads."

I hope everyone that reads this comes and Joins,for those of you who dont know me very well ,funwithgessies is a group I started a few years ago and contains a lot of knowable people,including our own gail and bonnie and sue,and theres a few others too
should be a lot of fun and theres not a lot of rules,so the day you join,you can play bingo
just want there to besomewhere you can let your hair down and kick back and enjoy what others have to say
