Aeschynanthus "Kewform" from Rob's Violets

Kylertown, PA(Zone 5b)

Rob's Violets offers an Aeschynanthus "Kewform", and when I ordered it this past summer, I could find very little info on it.

For those who are curious, it looks and grows just like a longicaulis (which it probably is) with the exception that the red on the inner part of the flowers is a little darker red than a regular longicaulis.

Here is my photo of Kewform.

This is my regular A. longicaulis.

Just thought it might be helpful to see the difference.

I will have to look it up as I usually think of Aeschananthus being in shades of red, pink and orange..very interesting.

I think most of them are, but these are of the A. longicaulis variety and they have those lovely mottled draping leaves.

This is my A. Mona Lisa which I love and have no problem blooming. It would be of the regular red variety with plain green leaves.
