Have miscanthus sinensis

Sewickley, PA(Zone 6a)

I moved a maiden grass plant in the spring, and now find myself with many stragglers wanting their space back! I can't bear to throw them in the compost and would like to trade them away if I can in groups of several plants or more...I'm new to DG and don't have my trade page completed, but I'm interested in anything that's a perennial in zone 6, especially new or different; self-sufficient is always nice also. I am 99% sure that the cultivar I have is 'Morning Light' from my research in my horti encyclopedia and the web. I do not need hostas (I've decided this year that the deer won), shasta daisies, rudbeckia hirta, wildflowers. I will take seed if it's something I really want...Am especially interested in named iris, vibernum, long-bearing flowers, veggies of all kinds (seeds for next year; especially unusual), anything deer resistant =0
Thanks,
Pat

I know what you mean about the deer! My folks live in the country and it's a never ending battle...I always get to hear my mom complain about "The [profanity removed] Deer", and how she doesn't care anymore about her hostas(she really does though). Don't know what seeds I could trade that are deer resisistant. The things the deer don't eat at my parents' house are, mexican sunflower, coneflower, hollyhock, foxglove, yarrow, petunias and goodness knows what else...either they're all deer resistant, or the panthers got the deer.

Deer resistance is not a must...just a wish.....

here's a good deer resistant plants list: http://www.deerxlandscape.com/cgi-bin/webc.cgi/st_main.html?catid=9
i would love some of your plants but don't know if they'd survive the trip to the UK

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I heard you can put a piece of Irish Spring soap in a piece of panty hose and hang it on a stake in the garden to keep the deer out. Rain or hose water will keep the scent refreshened and it is supposed to deter deer. I haven't tried it, but thought I would offer. If nothing else, your garden would smell really clean. :)

Oklahoma City, OK(Zone 7a)

Here are a few of the seeds I can offer for trade.

Perennial: Lance-leafed Coreopsis, Siberian Wallflower and Blanket Flower

Annual: White Alyssum, Globe gilia and Lupinus Luteus.

Let me know if anything interests you.

Have a look-see at my page. I'm in zone 6, this is all hardy, for me!

I'd love to have some of your plants. At the moment all I have are seeds. Take a look and see if anything interests you.

Just wanted to let you know that another gardener advised me that fall was not the time to plant miscanthus. I believe I have let all interested traders know by email; I'll be potting these babies up and growing over winter in my greenhouse until spring, when I'll offer them again.

Here's a link that might be helpful:

Thanks everyone for your interest!
