Here is a photo of a plant that was tentatively i.d.'d as Peperomia. Any ideas?
Does anyone know this plant?
Amy, try the ID form. They're smart cookies over there!

Thanks, I just posted on the i.d. forum.
I was given one of these ~ Peperomia ~ Belly Button plant. Not sure why the nickname. It is considered more of a succulent I believe.
This is info I found on it...
Peperomia verticillata
( Verticillata Peperomia )
These evergreen, sometimes succulent houseplants may be either rosette-forming or erect with trailing stems. Though peperomia produce greenish- white, panicle-like flower spikes, they are grown primarily for their foliage. In warm, sub-tropical or tropical areas, these plants maybe grown outside as a ground cover. Indoors, they require bright indirect light, but do tolerate low light. Water moderately during summer and sparingly during winter with water that is room temperature. Fertilize monthly with a balanced fertilizer. Though you hear that these plants favor daily misting, it is not necessary, especially if room is not overly dry. These plants like to be a little pot bound. Outdoors, grow in well-drained soil in partial shade. Peperomia verticillata is upright and fleshy with rounded to obovate leaves, light green above, reddish-pink below, softly white-hairy, borne in whorls of 5 at the nodes. To 20 inches tall, 18 inches wide.

thanks pod! been waiting for an id on this one. it's very pretty.
I have looked up pictures of P. verticillata, and I don't see that the plant is that species. Can someone refer me to an image that is similar to the one I posted?
http://www.lapshin.org/succulent/peperomi.htm ~ the DG PlantFiles leaf looks different but the plant posture is the same which makes me think the only photo in PlantFiles is a variegated version. You might submit your photo to PlantFiles, I think it would be a worthwhile addition.
Also the stem/leaf coloration on these is affected by sunlight or lack of. A neighbor gave me mine (complete with ID tag). Hers stays indoors and looks anemic compared to mine. They apparently are fairly cold hardy as mine has seen some low 30°s at night and keeps its' leaves.
