CLOSED: Need help identifying some waterfowl

Las Cruces, NM

I just got back from Las Vegas, where I visited the Flamingo Casino's wildlife habitat. In addition to flamingos ... which I could identify all by myself ;-) ... there were a number of waterfowl that I need help identifying.

To start, this one (#1) appears to be some sort of ibis; but does anyone know what type?

#2 - This one was just a bit smaller than than a Mute Swan.

#9 - At least I could identify this one as a flamingo. (One out of nine ... I'm not doing so good here!)

Thanks in advance for your help!

NM_Jane, the only ones I too could identify were the Ibis and the Flamingo. It will be interesting when others come on line with great knowlegde of bird and identify them. Will be watching this thread off and on today. Thank for the lovely pics. Lee

As Donna except:

4. Albino Mandarin Duck

Thank you so much for your help. If you ever get to Las Vegas, the flamingo wildlife habitat is well worth a visit. I guess with all the money folks lose, they can affort to buy some nice birds ;-)

Here's another one they had ... an African Crowned Crane. Check out that "hairdo".

Thanks again.
