Any Synsepalum Dulcificum fans?

Cleveland, OH

Was wondering if any one is growing these in the not so warm climates. I am in zone 6 and bring mine indoors during the cold months, lost one seedling to the cat and another had too much direct sun during the summer. I have gotten wiser and have two that are growing nicely. No berries yet but should have some very soon. Would like to hear any tips or anyone else's experience with these plants.

I grow them but in a warm climate. Be careful with water, if they dry out too much they will drop their leaves. I would be concerned with low humidity during the winter. Also make sure that the soil is acidic-I grow mine in a peat/perlite mix.

Thanks, I mist them daily and use diluted Miracid fertizer. I have mine in a combination of peat moss, perlite and pine bark mulch. They have been doing great indoors under the LED lights.

Sounds like they should do well!

How many times a year has anyone had berries?

I get berries about 10 months of the year, in all but the coolest months. It takes about 4 weeks or five weeks from flower to fruit and they flower several times a year.
