Help - bugs are eating up my 2 new Angel's Trumpets!

Katy, TX

I have 2 new baby Brugmansia's: Cherub & Charles Grimaldi. I recently potted them up and put them outside. But something is attacking and chewing up their leaves mercilessly (while leaving my mature Dr. Seuss alone). Do you have any suggestions for natural insecticides? Or not so natural ones that work if necessary?

Snails, slugs or caterpillars are you most likely suspects. I haven't seen any grasshoppers lately. You can go out at night and hand pick off these three. Use gloves if you don't care to touch slugs.

You can tell if it Slugs coz there will be this shiney trail of delight..LOL
They were the worst for me this yr.. You can sink cut off beer cans or tuna cans to ground level and fill them with beer and they wiil Party themselves to death.. Makes some a little quezzy .. NOT me I take Joy in the dumpiming of the slugs..Compost!..:LOL sorry.. If it is Cats you will find dropping and if you flip leaves you will find them..
You can use a Garlic~Pepper spray to discourage them from chewing..
Good Luck !
