I have 12 Golden Cuckoo Marans eggs cooking in the bator. Started them yesterday around 7pm. Along with those I also have 4 Salmon Faverolles eggs..so this will make a nice New Year treat for me instead of fireworks to watch..lol...

I was lucky to go pick my eggs up since I found someone about 1 hour from me..had a nice little drive yesterday in this warm weather we having again...Them Golden Cuckoo Maran eggs were not cheap either..she was selling them over $50 bucks a doz..but her birds were healthy and awsome! So were her Salmon Faverolles...

Hey Moodene! I've got Faverolle chicks. They are sweethearts. I almost bid on some Golden Marans. Make sure you let us know how they turn out. It is far better to get them locally where you can see the conditions they come from. The ones on eBay are always a little dodgy. Some great--others not so much.
Well she posted pics of her birds and I went out to her farm..They looked better in person..lol...along with other chicken breeds she has..that is why I was able to get some of her hatching eggs..

Um...um..I'm sure I mentioned it....somewhere. Now let me think......Oh, yes! I was going to tell you about them, but ZZ was on my case about all the Marans I had hatched and I was afraid to bring them up....yeah, that's right. It was ZZ's fault.
