I went to see the "snowbird" White Pelicans today.
Today at the Indian River Lagoon, FL.
This immature Brown Pelican was quite photogenic. When I looked at the photos, I discovered that this bird had a band on its leg (not visable in this particular photo), so it might have been a rehabilitated bird. The Marine Science Center, which is in Ponce Inlet, across the Indian Lagoon, has a Sea Bird Rehabilitation Center. It was hanging around Goodrich's Fish Camp at lunch time, perhaps waiting for someone to toss it some scraps.

Great shots Bsharf..I would love to see a Sandhill Crane someday!
I just passed a corner last week, you could have heard it a mile away, sandhill cranes everywhere. It really was a sight. Apparently a migrating stop every year.
Headed to Indialantic for a few days on the Indian River myself. Home
Everyone be safe!
