Rats! I missed Mrs. Ed's b-day! Hope it was happy!

(Oh come on people, he's cute! Just don't look at his tail!)

ouch, that tail hurts. He is cute. what the heck is he.

He's a teenage Norway Rat. The one good thing about Norway Rats is that they won't allow other rats to live in their territory. They even make their children move away from home. I don't know what the male rats do b/c I only see the mom and her two babies. I tried to catch them. I tried to make them move away, but they like it here. I even convinced my neighbor to take in a stray cat, but then he decided to make it an indoor cat and thwarted my plan!

HA! well, as long as you don't have a huge colony. We have some mice outside along the house that are pretty cute. As long as they stay outside and leave my iris alone, I'm fine witht hat.

Yea thats some ugly tail. :-)

If we're going to talk rodents . . . this little guy was in the bottom of a birdseed bag one a.m. last summer! Awwww. Being the true animal lover that I yam, I ran for a camera before releasing him. Happy extended birthday mrs. ed.
