Sad times at Karlae's house

Freeport, TX

I wasn't sure where to post this, but since we met most of you here on this forum, I thought it was as good a place as any. Karla lost her Daddy yesterday morning about 4:15. She was at his side, holding his hand when he left. It is a very hard time for her, because they were extremely close. She was always going with him hunting and fishing. His funeral will be Saturday morning at 10:00, so if you could offer up a kind thought or a small prayer I'm sure that it will help. We have met a grand group of people here at Dave's, and we appreciate all of you. God keep- Jim

I'm so sorry to hear of your family's loss. There's not much worse than having a "daddy's girl" lose her father. I was one and it certainly bowled me over when I lost my dad. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

With sympathy,

Sorry for your pain.

Life is good and them we have to move on to make room for our children to grow.

Happy Gardening.

Sorry to learn of your loss, but remember he is just scouting out the best fishing and hunting spots for the the reunion. So now Karla has her own personal guardian angel.

You have a VERY large extended family here on DG - if there is anything we can do to help, don't hesitate to ask.

I'm new to the TX forum here, but not new to the camaraderie that gardening brings to our lives. I'm sorry to hear of the loss to your family. You have my prayer support and are in my thoughts.

Jim,
My condolences to Karla and your family. It is always difficult losing a parent, but especially around Christmas. I lost my Dad in mid-December almost 20 years ago and it still brings some sad memories. My prayers are with you in hopes that you make it through this Christmas.

Am so sorry to hear about your loss. My beliefs are when we are finished with our work here God brings us home. Some of us have more work to do than others, some of us are here only a short time to complete our task. Even though we who are left behind are sad and not ready for our loved ones to leave, I know we will be united again.

I am so sorry. Keeping you both in my prayers for peace and strength. Losing a loved one is always hard, but particularly hard during the holidays.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. My dad has been gone for thirteen years, but he is still with me in so many ways. I hope the happy memories will quickly diminish the sad ones.

Karla,
Words cannot console an aching heart. We can only offer our prayers for your comfort during this sad time of loss.

Knowing about heaven and your dad waiting there for you can make the transition from life on on earth to everlasting life in eternity less painful for you. When I think of my loved ones who have gone on before me. I imagine them waiting patiently for my time to join them. I think of them enjoying such sweetness and warmth. I know they are smiling down on me and watching intently as I finish my journey with their blessings.

We are born at the beginning of the path of our journey. We move along the path touching hearts of our loved ones as we trod along. When we finish our journey a little bit of each heart that we have touched goes with us as we sojourn into heaven. I imagine my loved ones each holding a tiny piece of my heart tenderly as they watch from above as I complete my earthly task.

I know my heart will be made whole again at the end of my journey. I hope to hold some pieces of others hearts as I go. It is my hope that all the ones I leave behind will know that I am waiting for them, as I keep the tiny pieces of their hearts carefully until they join me.

Your dad has a big chunk of your heart and I hope you know that he is already holding it lovingly for you as he waits and watches for your path to join his.

Just remember that God gave you a big heart and you have much left in your heart to keep you strong. You have many more pieces to share as you travel life's journey. Keep your heart strong and continue to give it away as each piece you give away makes your heart grow.

Don't let the sadness deny you the joy of the life you have enjoyed here with your dad.
Let the joy of you dad shine through you until you see him again. Let the tears fall, but not for long. A few tears wash away the sadness. Too many tears cause you to drown in the sadness. So shed a few, but not too many.

Your friends will comfort you during this time of your loss.
