Unbelievable!!!! You guys will not BELIEVE the windfall I just received! I put an ad in my local shopper offering to pay 20¢/lb for old or freezer burned meat (as long as the meat had been kept frozen). A couple responded, and we arranged to meet in a local parking lot this morning for the meat exchange. HOLY COW! These folks cleaned out two large chest freezers, and I ended up with nearly 300 lbs of meat for 20¢/lb! There's everything in this pile of meat - chicken, pork, beef, turkey, venison, game birds, even buffalo!
It's a darn good thing it's winter, cuz my freezers are already pretty packed with meat for the kids. This new stash is going to have to be stored in one of my horse stalls!
Meat, meat ... everywhere I look, there's MEAT! Merry Meat-mas!!!
